1.0 ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Nicolaas R.A. Vroom was born in 's Gravenhage in 1942.
The first thing I remember were US and English aeroplanes, who flew above our house and dropped food, in the hunger winter of 1944/1945.

2.0 FOREWORD PART 2

Chapter FOREWORD starts with the problem what happens when I (you) travel in a rocket with the speed of light. This was not the original problem.

At high school I was thought, that the speed of light, is the highest speed with which something (light or energy) can move.
As a result, while I was walking during a thunderstorm, the following scenario came into my mind:
Suppose you are sitting at the tip of a lightning flash. Is it possible to observe an other lightning flash that approaches you?

Immediately thereafter I realised that maybe there is a problem because this approaching lightning flash will have a speed of 2 * c which is not possible (?).

By that time I did not have a solution for this problem. Later I learned that the solution (?) is to replace my speed v with the (relativity) formula:

        vc =  v * SQRT ( 1 - vē/cē)                              (1)
Then for v = c using equation (1) vc becomes 0.

2.1 WHAT NEXT

The question you can ask yourself is: 1. does equation 1 solve any problem ? For example: does equation 1 solve the problem what is physical possible or not possible ?

Before answering this question first consider the following two questions:

When two objects (masses) collide: 2. what will be the speed of each object just before the collision? 3. what will be the speed of the combined object after the collision?

The answer of question 2) (I believe) is described with Newton's Law and depends about the speed of gravity propagation. The different chapters of this book explain this.

If either question 2 or 3 require calculations similar like equation 1: I doubt and most probably not. That is the message of this book.

The same answer is valid for the question 1. at the beginning of this section: I doubt and most probably not.

3.0 THOUGHTS

It is very difficult to put something on paper, without almost getting any feedback, if what you are writing is correct.

That is also part of the reality.

Time does not exist. The only thing that exists, is the physical reality of which we human beings are a part. This reality exists in time. A clock is a part of the reality. A clock is nothing more then a physical phenomena of a cyclic moving object (the dials). The whole question is to what extend physical phenomena behave different when they move in (absolute) space.

You cannot prove the reality.

It is not possible for all humans to make quick profits.

Progress always comes slowly.

The only way to make this a better world is by education.

The only way to improve our understanding is by having doubts about our understanding.

The most difficult thing to understand is not the force of gravity (and the question what is the speed of gravity propagation, compared with the speed of light), but force used by human beings.
